Our in-depth three step screening process (below) is a way for you to become familiar with the high standards used to match your organization with the most qualified Online Teaching Network instructor.
Step 1: All potential candidates must submit to a lengthy interview process by respected and experienced fellow professors who have achieved a level of excellence for the Online Teaching Network. During this time, all applicants must clearly demonstrate their mastery of content and best practices for online instruction. Step 2: A research sample of 150 surveys are collected and analyzed from current and former students who rate each teacher's effectiveness and performance. An overall rating of 92 percent must be achieved from the student respondents in order for an instructor to qualify and become a member of the Online Teaching Network community. Step 3: Applicants must provide 6 professional references attesting to the applicants' character, work habits, organizational skills, etc., along with official credentials and college transcripts to the Online Teaching Network office for validation and confirmation of all material. This detailed screening method allows us to verify and match the qualifications of each applicant to the desired discipline to be taught. Finding these "top performers" based on their knowledge and how effective they are at transferring their proficiency to the online teaching environment is our goal--clear and simple.
